We are a Prep to Year 9 school of over 100 amazing students, waiting for a new teacher to lead them on an exciting learning journey.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Middle School Teacher who is looking for a little adventure! Have you ever thought of living remotely and experiencing all that Outback Australia has to offer? We are offering the flexibility of a teaching position, working with your strengths in various subject areas and incorporating a leadership component if desired.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a high level of teaching practice, have a thorough knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy, and possess a strong commitment to Christian Education. Having a keen interest in physical education and sports would be favourable.
This full-time role will commence in Term 3, 2022 and be an intrinsic member of our College.

This is an outstanding opportunity for you to join our thoroughly innovative team at Gulf Christian College, Normanton. You will enjoy the connectedness of a small school environment as well as experiencing ‘Outback Australia’.
The successful applicant will be required to have a minimum of one of the above qualifications or be willing to commence training in one of these courses. You will be required to demonstrate a high-level whole school approach to pastoral care towards all students. Our Christian environment provides the best preparation for our students to fulfil their potential individually and as part of the wider community in which they live and serve.
This position will lead and assist in organising all weekly Chapel services, participate in all College camps/excursions/events, provide guidance to and monitor the well-being of students including student behaviour management, as well as being a positive role model in the daily life of our College community.
This position will be full-time during school terms only, working Mondays to Fridays from 8.00am to 3.30pm. Commencement will be Term 3, 2022.
Our salary package includes assistance with accommodation and remote allowances.
